Enough to whet the appetite but not enough to satisfy the hunger. The author also repeats himself a lot, probably in an attempt to make a book out of things that don’t really have a lot behind them.
I just wish there were more of them. Provine has written a stimulating book on the everyday quirks of behavior. He suggested that if you had to buy something, you might invest in a stop watch. It’s roughly in the style of an excited science presenter at an junior-high assembly with the occasional dad joke, even when the content veers into slightly more adult territory.
